The final East Anglian Regional Show of the year with Belted Galloway Classes was held on August Bank Holiday Monday and as always proved popular.

It was lovely weather for this one day show held in the grounds of Blickling Hall, near Aylsham in North Norfolk. There was a good entry of 14 animals with 12 bought forward. Six breeders attended on the day with their cattle for Judge Roger Long to consider. Roger and his wife Yvonne were one of the first breeders of belties in Norfolk with their Hillfield herd at Scarning and they have done much to help promote the breed in the region over the years.

Congratulations to Ben and Becky Burgess-Smith of the Blackthorn herd who took the 2024 Best of Breed John Coxford Memorial Cup with Blackthorn Zara, a 2022 heifer sired by Shelsleys Willie Redman.  The Reserve best of Breed went to Blackthorn Annabelle a 2023 born heifer also sired by Shelsleys Willie Redman. Blackthorn Zara went on to win the Native Interbreed Champion and also the Reserve Supreme Interbreed Championship
