Showing season got underway at the 115th Ballymoney Show on Saturday 1st June for the Irish breeders.  The sun was shining on the cattle ring where 12 animals from 7 local breeders were put forward for the consideration of our judge, Scott MacKinnon, retired stock man of the Klondyke Estate.

The Scottish Woodlands Perpetual Cup for the Champion Belted Galloway was awarded to Richard Creith’s impressive bull, Ballylough Jack. 

The Reserve Champion prize went to Gruige Niamh, a 2022 heifer by Coulmony Bayley, from Dessy Henry’s herd.
