A sunny day for the first year of holding Belted Galloway Classes at the lovely Heckington Show near Sleaford in Lincolnshire.
There were 18 animals from five breeders entered with 9 animals from three breeders bought forward on the day for judge Chris Ryder to consider. Chris and Christine run the Scaifehall herd of belted Galloways in North Yorkshire, often presenting animals at the Castle Douglas and Skipton Society Shows and Sales with much success.
A big thank you to all the class sponsors, especially Chris Meekins Livestock Nutrition for donating and presenting a fine Trophy for the Champion.
Congratulations to Jonathan and Vicky Clowes with the 2024 Best of Breed Winner Monochrome Joyce a 2022 heifer sired by Beswick Hall Ellison. Reserve Best of Breed went to Monochrome Jack the Lad a 2022 born bull sired by Blackthorn Warrior.
